Between 14 October – 14 November, Istanbul residents will be able to visit the W ISTANBUL DESIGN POP STORE for the 2017 New Avlu Collection.
During the months of October and November, the city will feature The Istanbul Design Biennial, Design Week and Fashion Week. Right before this rich design season, W Istanbul launches a special design project; W ISTANBUL POP STORE will exhibit young designers Yeşim & Doğan’s DAY Studios, a brand new collection right after its display in London Design Week 2016.
POP UP STORE projects will continue with collections from the fields of industrial design, fashion, jewelry and decoration products every month, organized and styled by 700 DCC.
Şeniz Bengüer’s SUPERJAZZ will also make its launch at the opening reception of the Pop Up Store on the 14th October.
About DAY STUDIO
DAY Studio was founded by Doğanberk Demir and Yeşim Eröktem in 2015 following their masters degree at ECAL. The studio works on furniture, lighting, table-top accessories, textile designs as well as industrial products and packaging design. Yeşim and Doğanberk fuse their cultural background with a contemporary approach to create simple yet functional everyday objects.
DAY Studio continuously collaborates with local and international companies such as Frette, Flormar and Hamm apart from their product and furniture lines.
